More about this item
- Description
- Joe and Henry Kato (brothers) on tractors in a cabbage or broccoli field on the Kato family farm off Southeast 190th Avenue and Richey Road.
- Provenance
-
Found in collections. The Katos were interned during World War II, and the Bliss family took care of their farm during that period. This photo was taken shortly after they came home, in the late 1940s or early 1950s.
The forested butte in the background now belongs to Metro, and is commonly known as Bliss Butte. However, a turn-of-the-century biking map identifies it as Sleret Butte. - Date
